The increase in disrespect and incivility in the workplace has cause a tremendous decrease in workplace productivity. Many employees suffer physical illness, depression, lack of concentration which often cause employment turnover and consequently, the loss of billions of dollars in our economy. TRI benefits are clear. People who can work together in a civil, respectful environment will accomplish more productivity, harmony and creativity, with less stress within the company.

The TRI communications and civility training program will equip management and employees with practical tools for creating respectful work environments that will identify and prevent incivility. Training will involve personality testing, evaluations for emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. Management and employees learn how different social and psychological characteristics impact and control behavior and communication.

Inclusiveness is a strategy that will unleash the power of diversity to generate productivity and value for everyone in our society.  Most cultural civility programs only cover the unethical actions of special interest groups and accommodate the misuse of workers,  when what's really needed is a way to move  toward genuine inclusiveness. Inclusion involves creating opportunities throughout an organization or a community so that the talents of all people, regardless of ethnicity, creed, gender, or religion can be fully realized, which will increase the productivity and profitability of any community.

Psychologist Daniel Goleman, has proposed the definition of self-awareness in his book, Emotional Intelligence, as 'knowing one’s internal states, preference, resources and intuitions.'  This definition places emphasis on the ability to monitor our inner world, our thoughts and emotions as they arise.

Introspection is the examination or observation of your mental and emotional processes.  In psychology, the process of introspection relies exclusively on observation of your mental state, while in a spiritual context it refers to the examination of your inner-self.  We believe that spiritual examination is equally important as your mental state.  Your beliefs influence your actions.

Humans have an intrinsic need for psychological balance and inner harmony. Self-awareness aids in the fulfillment of that need.

‘Know thyself’ as stated by the Greek philosopher Socrates, is the most important accomplishment in human behavior. When you understand your inner thoughts, attitudes and actions, you become empowered to alter them to maintain balance and harmony.

However, we believe that self-awareness should not only realize what you feel inside, but also aid you in monitoring your actions with others. Self-awareness should prompt you to become more sensitive to the feeling of the people around you. We refer to self-awareness as being conscious. The RESPECCT Initiative has time tested, proven  strategies that will help develop and increase self esteem.
